A little about my works

Painting is like meditation for me. Over the years, I have worked with acrylics and gouache paint. In my late 20s, I tried watercolor for the first time, and I must confess that it has become my personal favorite. I have always been both intimidated and intrigued by watercolor. It is one of the most challenging yet sensuous paint mediums I have ever explored. To claim a preference for any other medium would be disingenuous. The interplay of colors in water and on paper brings about a perpetual element of surprise with every painting that I create.

About The Artist

Milauni has been painting since she was four years old, and she credits her parents for encouraging her in this wonderful journey. After completing her undergraduate degree in Architecture, she moved to the United States of America in 2004. Apart from painting, she enjoys hiking, which is a significant source of inspiration for her landscape paintings. Currently, she resides in California with her spouse and two daughters, Kriya and Kavya. Her eldest daughter, Kriya, serves not only as her most ardent critic but also as the biggest admirer of her artwork, which is why she named her business Kriativearts after her. Milauni strongly believes in giving back to her community by sharing her knowledge of paint media and painting fundamentals with young budding artists. You can see some of her students’ work in the blog section
