Did your mouth water by just seeing this painting? Then imagine how it felt while being served. Our family is big-time foodie, especially Indian cuisine. It was during our Christmas holidays when we visited Los Angelos and were craving some authentic spicy Indian food. Artesia, a small town in LA is known for variety of Indian restaurants, largest variety after Oak Tree road in New Jersey. We checked some restaurant and then accidentally came across this restaurant called Bhooke (hungry). There was a long line, which was a review in itself. We decided to try this place. And to our surprise, not only the food but also the presentation was mouth watering. Savoring every bit of the thali, we left satiated with lingering taste in our mouth.

MIGHTY SEAL,

Have you ever been to La Jolla Cove in San Diego, California? If so, you would have seen some beautiful amphibians resting on the beaches, undisturbed by their surroundings and gathering quite some attention in the wild. It is usually during nesting season that we find them in clusters, and like a human mother, they keep a close eye on their young ones’ whereabouts.
On one such occasion, I was lucky enough to witness a magnificent seal. The seal was lying on the beach, taking a much-needed rest against a large black rock, while its young ones frolicked in the nearby waters. The seal’s yawn was a sight to behold, resembling a lion’s roar. I was fortunate enough to capture this moment in a photograph, which was used to paint this beauty.

MORNING COFFEE
There’s an indescribable comfort in that first cup of hot coffee, isn’t there? As the steam rises and envelopes my senses, it’s like a gentle embrace, warming not just my hands but my soul. The rich aroma fills the air, awakening dormant senses and ushering in a sense of anticipation for the day ahead. With each sip, there’s a quiet moment of solace, a pause amidst the chaos of life, where worries momentarily dissipate, and the world feels just a little more manageable. It’s more than just a beverage; it’s a ritual, a moment of respite, and a reminder that sometimes, amidst the hustle and bustle, it’s okay to slow down and savor the simple pleasures.

HIKING BUDDIES
This painting is a tribute to my hiking buddies. I joined this group during the COVID pandemic to stay active and fit, and they have been a major reason for my commitment to hiking. With this bunch, I have pushed my personal boundaries many times, and I will always be grateful to have them in my life. The painting depicts one of our recent hikes, where I was trailing behind my buddies. Their clothing and accessories blended with the natural backdrop, creating a perfect contrast that I wanted to capture in my painting.
